Trekking is fun in monsoon

Monsoons don’t mean that you only stay indoors. In fact, it’s the perfect season to go out, explore and enjoy.

Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) is all set to organise the seventh edition of Monsoon trekking Expedition at Nagzar, a small village in Pernem Taluka on 2nd August, 2015.The 7th weekly trek at Nagzar with a total stretch of 6 kms will take you through beautiful landscapes. This trek promises to be easy yet adventurous, so even if you are not a trekker you could try to be one. There’s always a first time!

Let's have some fun!

Let’s have some fun!

One can admire the wildflowers while walking through the picturesque semi forest, and then through kulaghars (plantations). The trekking expedition is open to all, especially those with a spirit for adventure and nature lovers. So, pack your trekking bag and head towards the Nagzar village of Pernem Taluka to enjoy the many facets of the state in monsoon.

Transport arrangements have been made from Margao Residency at 8:00 am and from Paryatan Bhavan , Patto at 9:00 am followed by a pick-up at Mapusa Residency at 9:30 am.

The best part is that the registration fee is only INR 700 (food inclusive) .Yummy vegetarian lunches will be provided by the villagers (I just can’t wait to dig into the authentic Goan food after the trek).
Don’t forget to carry along an extra pair of clothes, rainwear, trekking shoes, snacks and binoculars. Remember, it’s the monsoon season!
