Heiwa Heaven Resort: Paradise in Jaipur

If someone tells you that you don’t have to die to go to heaven what do you say? Well, I say it is true! Would not have believed till a few days back, but when I experienced a peaceful and adventurous (yes, a great combination) weekend at Heiwa Heaven Resort (YouTube video by CoinsandMaps) in Jaipur, it came true for me.

A Gem Of A Resort

With Aravallis as the back drop Heiwa Heaven sits pretty

A resort is a resort is a resort, if this is what one thinks then come to Heiwa Heaven. This is much more, everyone in the family with varied interests, likes and dislikes from age 2 to 100 will find something or the other to enjoy.

Heiwa pronounced as Hay-wa means ‘peace’ in Japanese. It does justice to the name with the brilliant backdrop of the Aravallis, sprawling lawns, banquets, conference rooms, open  air eating spaces, pool side verandah, jungle camp theme restaurant and yes, the long list of outdoor activities we will see more of. The resort has an inventory of more than 50 luxury rooms and 15 Swiss Luxury Tents (Rainforest Glam Camps).

Feast Like Royalty

Drooling? This is the royal Rajasthani Thali

It is difficult to say what to start the introduction with; we’ll let the food do the honours. In one word the food is ‘excellenticious’! Nothing more can be done to improve the sumptuous dishes prepared with so much attention and expertise, served with the traditional deep rooted hospitality of Rajasthan. Each morsel of roti with dal,Wow Dal’, I would name it, exactly like it should be somewhere in between the ones served in the best of restaurants and the ones cooked with love at home, just swirls and dissolves in the mouth, vegetables are a delight to look at, mouthwatering biryani, unforgettable gatta and kadhi, makhmali malai koftas – and the king of food in Rajasthan the ‘Grand Rajasthani Thali’ with dal baati and churmaas. Need to stop, though the list of delicacies available is almost endless and to top it all everything here is healthy vegetarian!

Unwind And Relax

The pool is one of the lazy places here, I say lazy because it is in vicinity of the restaurant with the rain dance stage close by and covered areas to sit too. I suggest have a dip in the pool, enjoy the rain dance and then feast like royalty! Next to the pool are the delightful Swiss tents, amazingly set in a grove of Amla trees with chirping birds, ‘Camp Coolio’, I call it. Enter one of these and you seem to have transcended to another era of soothing calm settings. With all amenities within the tent I do not want to enter a brick and mortar building for any holiday again! Nestled in the same setup is the Spa which is rejuvenating to say the least. It was magical and a sure reason to surrender to the forces of nature while the masseur continued with the Ayurvedic massage. There are various options from Oriental to the European massages and other treatments which one can indulge in. As always one wants to just remain there for a little longer and be pampered! Probably, the only place and time where one gets the true ‘me moment’.

Get Adventurous At Heiwa

Ziplining was one of the many activities we tried at the resort

Another thing that really excited me was the adventure possibilities in the commando bridge, zip line, quad bikes and zorba fighting – which I believe is a first for Jaipur. Then there were tennis, volley ball and badminton courts. Added for some all-round fun and easy movement was a well laid tractor with trolley, camel cart and a horse too! Indoor gaming zone was spacious to say the least and had well laid zones for some traditional board games like carom, chess and also had table tennis and snooker tables (in fact 2 snooker tables), basketball, ice hockey and a X Box for the gaming nerds!

There are a lot of activities to indulge in; perfect for families, MICE and corporate outings

A resort with so many sporting options in Jaipur was not something that I would have usually associated with.

Perfect Venue For Destination Weddings

Seamless match of beautiful venue and awesome food makes Heiwa Heaven a perfect destination wedding spot

With the wedding season around the corner, Heiwa Heaven is sure to be a big hit wedding destination, day parties are already quite frequent. With an eye for detail, which is part of the management team’s basic approach, I am sure this is a place where people will make life long memories and great relationships. Food was the best I have had in a long while and the expanse of the lawns and banquets are just right for the big weddings that India is known for. The grandeur of the Aravallis, delicious servings of food, fantastic photo shoot opportunities and the service of this great team will ensure that the guests are spoilt for choices. Heiwa Heaven with so many outdoor activities is also a perfect venue for MICE, corporate outings and bleisure activities.

It is a place for coming and never leaving, a perfect weekend getaway and much more. One would just like to be there with family and friends and continue having a string of good times. Glad to have discovered this rare gem in the jewel of Rajasthan tourism.

But in case you decide to stay over and discover the spirit and character of the pink city then squeeze in some time to visit these must-see places in Jaipur to understand and feel the culture, royalty and the essence of Jaipur.
